Editorial policy
Fresh Regional Review aims to describe places with care and make its reasoning visible. We distinguish what can be checked from interpretation, and welcome readers who spot a detail that needs correction.
Accuracy and context
We check factual details against suitable sources before publication and take care with names, dates, locations and definitions. A source or example should support the point being made, not stand in for an entire region. Where a subject is contested or a detail is uncertain, the wording should make that clear.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made for the clarity and relevance of the subject, not to promise favourable coverage. A partnership does not determine an editorial conclusion. Material created with a partner is identified so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work.
Corrections
When a reader identifies a possible error, we review the point and check it against the available information. If a correction is warranted, we amend the relevant wording and make the change clear where appropriate. Send corrections through the Contact page with the article title and the detail in question.
Partner material and illustrations
Sponsored or partner material is clearly labelled as such and kept distinct from editorial articles. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; when used, they are identified so readers are not left to mistake them for documentary images.
Place is made of particulars
A region is more than an outline on a map. Its textures show up in ordinary details: a building stone, a local word, a route across the land.
