Write for us

Fresh Regional Review welcomes thoughtful pitches about the details that give places their character. Send proposals through the Contact page, with the reason the subject suits this publication.

What we welcome

We consider clear, original proposals about regional landscapes, architecture, language, foodways and craft. Strong ideas focus on a defined subject and show how it helps readers understand a place without claiming that one example represents everyone who lives there.

Make the pitch specific

Tell us the working idea, the main point readers will take away and the approach you have in mind. Note any important limits, contested interpretations or sources the piece would need. A focused proposal is more useful than a broad list of possible topics.

How to send it

Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option or the closest available reason. Include your proposed title, a short outline and any relevant background on the subject. A pitch is a proposal, not a promise of publication; please do not send confidential material.
